We’ve organized a fund-raising campaign with ReplaceFund, an online platform for civic crowd funding. We wanted to cover the cost for printing the photos and organizing the itinerant exhibition.
Many have mobilized to help us and we finally raised around 2,000 euro (1,875 euro net) in only 35 days! It was more than what planned at the beginning of the campaign. The project was appreciated and through the online crowd funding platform we started telling the project, the history of the objects and of the people who agreed to be photographed. This was the beginning of Portraits of Memory.
And here it’s how we spent the money raised through the campaign, 1875 euro:
- Printing of photos and captions, 830 euro
- Materials for the installations, 65 euro
- Printing and sending of rewards (postcards and fine arts), 198 euro
- Itinerant exhibitions (transportation, organization, insurance and renting of the site for the inauguration), 760 euro
